Beta Carotene Juice Recipe

Mar 30, 2024 09:00AM ● By Rev. Dr. Jessica Scofield-Chichester

This refreshing spring juice, made from carrots, apple, ginger, lemon and an optional scoop of collagen powder, is a powerhouse of nutrients and health benefits perfect for the season. Here’s how each ingredient contributes to your well-being:

Carrots are a great source of beta-carotene, which is converted into vitamin A in the body. Vitamin A is essential for good vision, skin health and immune function. They also contain antioxidants, which help protect the body against free radical damage and support a healthy immune system.

Apples provide a good source of soluble fiber, which can help regulate blood sugar levels and improve digestive health. Vitamin C supports immune function and skin health.

Ginger contains potent anti-inflammatory properties, which can help reduce inflammation in the body, easing symptoms of arthritis and muscle soreness. It can also soothe the digestive system, reducing nausea and promoting healthy digestion.

Lemons are high in vitamin C and antioxidants, which aid in flushing toxins out of the body and enhancing the immune system. Despite their acidic taste, lemons have an alkalizing effect on the body, which can help balance the body’s pH levels.

Collagen is vital for skin elasticity and hydration, potentially reducing wrinkles and dryness. It may also provide support for joint health by helping to rebuild the cartilage. Collagen can aid in the repair of the intestinal lining, promoting gut health and aiding digestion.

Together, these ingredients create a nutrient-dense juice that not only hydrates and refreshes, but also provides a variety of health benefits. Drinking this juice in spring can be a great way to support your body’s natural cleansing processes, boost your immune system and provide essential nutrients for overall health and vitality.

2 carrots
