Happy Spring, Connecticut! Now that we’re shifting our attention back to the outdoors and getting gardens started, it is a wonderful time of year to talk about food and nutrition. Our feature article this month is “Veggies for the Win”, which gives five great reasons to choose a plant-based lifestyle. Whether you’ve been veggie-based for years or are curious to incorporate this diet into a few meals or days each week, the evidence for making the switch is compelling.
We also hear from Terry Wahls, M.D. about the famous Wahls Protocol for therapeutic diet and lifestyle changes that can greatly improve multiple sclerosis symptoms. Her story is incredibly inspiring, and really makes you think about the importance of the foods we eat.
Have you been to Stamford’s Haute Healing Oasis? To celebrate their fifth anniversary, we are highlighting the one-of-a-kind bio energy healing center in this month’s Community Spotlight. Read more about the wellness services offered in a spa-like environment on page 14.
But this March edition also features a wide range of other important healthy living topics. I urge you to find one new thing to read about this month, from non-toxic pet treatments to better sleep for children.
Next month will be the special, mega edition that is our yearly Natural Living Directory. Our deadline is March 15, so reach out to me now if you’d like to be part of this edition that our readers keep for reference all year. We’ll be featuring local businesses, practitioners and healers who want to be seen by more than 40,000 readers all year long. See the back cover for more information.
See you outside!
