The Dirty Truth
Sep 30, 2022 09:30AM ● By Jessica ChichesterWe are entering the ending of another “new normal” year, that has been as shaky to some like dead October leaves falling. It is more crucial than ever to connect with our trunk—the core of our nature and belief systems. How do we connect when the ground feels like quicksand?
It is first important to look at the facts. We as a collective, have been starved and stripped from a load of healthy nutrients that create a vibrant ecosystem in body and mind. And now it’s been almost three years and many are just coming up for air, waking up to the truth of our health—that the body, mind and spirit are one, and we have been slighted and lied to. This realization and the trauma experienced from years of fight-or-flight has cost many their peace.
We were told that we are free and then we were put against the wall and told that if we didn’t give in, we would lose our jobs, our houses, our lives. Many did. Many didn’t. Many lives have been lost, many questions unanswered. Cover your face, stare into the TV….it’ll be ok, they say, as the world crumbles…or that’s what they just decide to show us, knowing fear blocks every decision making, love promoting, neural pathway in the mind. Stay frozen and don’t breathe.
In the darkest hour, there is always a light and in this case we must pivot focus and be peaceful on purpose. How do we do this? Look to nature, for she will tell us the answers we’re looking for and that answer is peace.
We are in fact a YOU-niverse inside this Universe. Our bodies, being 70 percent water, are made from the same elements that make up the composition of dirt. From dust we came and from dust we will return.
But how do we get there when the average American spends over 93 percent of their life indoors—starved from the lack of sun gazing—from imbalanced circadian rhythms and with all the electronics and negative EMFs blocking our own biorhythm. It’s no wonder we feel static noise and anxiety. We must be aware and protect our homes, our schools, our sanctuaries, because this overexposure to blue light and harmful frequencies breaks down our DNA and cellular function. This is why the services offered at wellness centers are more crucial than ever to help detoxify and rebalance your body.
We long for the dirt. Our bodies want to feel the frequency of the Earth—nature—as we are a microcosm of it. Sadly, even our farming soil has been stripped of minerals and nutrients. We are left with imbalances and deficiencies that lead to an exposed immune system, deteriorating gut health and buildup of heavy metal and toxins in our bodies, as every cell cries out for simple life-giving nutrients. Good food, pure water, clean air and sunlight.
We have a lot to learn from the Earth. Did you know that trees feed each other nutrients, regardless of the type? No judgment. No bias. One needs help, and the others send it a supply of nutrients via the Wi-Fi network of roots. We are trees. We are kind. There’s just been so much noise that so many feel “self” has been lost.
How do we get back to our roots? As basic as it sounds, we have to carve out time to shut down and get back to nature. Find time for yourself for positive change, schedule time each week to detoxify every area of life—body, mind and spirit.
Connect with nature, find your healing nutrients. Surrender into intentional living. Focus on personal growth and what’s working, while shedding leaves and patterns that no longer serve you. Develop routines of self-care that are enjoyable, attainable and affordable. Your healing oasis might be the city park or beach that you haven’t been to in years, or a new wellness center that you have been meaning to check out. Now is the time to get dirty and explore, finding the new, healthier and vibrant you.
