Rebecca Schoenewolf, principal of RS Holistic Counseling and Healing, recently moved to the Danbury area from Providence, Rhode Island, and is now developing her second thriving holistic healing practice. Schoenewolf holds a master’s degree in holistic mental health counseling and is licensed in New York, Connecticut and Rhode Island. As a counselor, her primary focus is on emotional healing, communication skills, facilitating groups and workshops, and healing trauma. She is trained in CBT, DBT methods, communication skills and EMDR. She is also developing a holistic healing practice, based in her certification as a Reiki master/teacher in Usui and Holy Fire. Energy healing and intuitive channeling along with sound and scents are some of the other natural ways she will help to enhance clients’ healing abilities.

“My definition of ‘holistic’ is that for clients to achieve their goals, I have to take into consideration the multitude of levels in which any person operates—the personal level, the family levels, the economic and educational levels, the societal levels, etc—as well as the modalities that would best assist them,” Shoenewolf explains. “But the modalities are mere tools, as it is the connections forged in sessions that are the foundation for healing.”
