Mother Earth Gallery Plants New Roots in New Milford
After 28 years in Brookfield, Mother Earth Gallery has moved to New Milford. Due to redevelopment plans at the Four Corners, the relocated gallery opened recently across from New Milford High School in front of House of Warmth.
“It was a hard move to make,” says Leslie Gera, owner of Mother Earth Gallery. “We had to leave Mining For Kids behind and it was heartbreaking.” With the new location, the gallery is now also showcasing local artisans with jewelry, photography, pottery, wood, soaps candles and body care products. In addition, the gallery has a large metaphysical selection of crystals.
In keeping with Mother Earth Gallery’s metaphysical and spiritual theme, it also carries Buddha, Kuan Yin and Ganesh statuary, tapestries and wall hangings in addition to books and tarot cards.
The gallery’s Made by Nature section reflects the beauty of items made from nature with crystals, wood, maple syrup and more. The Made by Hand area of the space encompasses everything from handmade gemstone and metal jewelry to candles, soaps, pottery, glass suncatchers, oils, jewelry, chimes, Tibetan singing bowls and even caramels and chocolate-covered nachos. Mother Earth Gallery also offers classes in tarot, crystals, shamanic healing, chakras and jewelry wire-wrapping.
