Aqua-Scapes LLC, a company founded by Vincenzo Torcasio, and BioTop, started by Peter Petrich, are partnering in the U.S. to create BioTop by Aqua-Scapes LLC. Aqua-Scapes LLC brings its expertise in pool building in the U.S while BioTop offers expertise, science, parts, philosophy and techniques in building biological pools. The result can be a traditional looking pool of any shape size or material that is naturally filtered by plants, bacterias and trade secrets.

Unlike a traditional pool where the water is sterilized by chlorines and salts, the BioTop pool is so alive it supports the life of plants and bacteria. BioTop pools create a natural ecosystem that will attract frogs, birds, snails and dragon flies. No chemicals are used. The planted filter can be part of the swimming pool or separate to look like a traditional water garden.

BioTop is a 30-year old European company that entered the U.S., in 2014. It offers an alternative to the traditional chemically treated swimming pool with a healthier, greener solution free of chlorines, acids and salts.
