Brookfield Film Festival Returns for 2025

Film lovers and creatives alike will gather for the 17th annual Brookfield Film Festival, running March 27 to 30, at the historic Brookfield Theatre for the Arts in Brookfield. This beloved event showcases a dynamic selection of films, offering something for every cinephile.
The festival kicks off with Music Indie Evening, a celebration of original music videos from talented bands across Connecticut and its neighboring states. Regional Indie Afternoon follows, providing a platform for local filmmakers to showcase their work and engage in a post-screening Q&A. On Read-Through Indie Morning, in partnership with the Brookfield Theatre for the Arts, screenwriters have the opportunity to present a scene from their script in a live table reading, fostering collaboration with actors and filmmakers over complimentary coffee and pastries. The festival concludes with Shorts and to the Point, featuring a selection of award-winning and Oscar-nominated short films presented across three screenings.
Organized by the Brookfield Arts Commission, an all-volunteer group dedicated to supporting the arts, the festival also serves a greater purpose—proceeds benefit the Brookfield Arts Commission Arts Scholarship Award, given annually to a graduating high school student pursuing a degree in the arts.
For a weekend of inspiring storytelling and cinematic excellence, mark your calendar for this must-attend event.
