The Passport to Health and Wellness Expo returns on May 4, offering a day of discovery, inspiration, and holistic well-being at the DoubleTree by Hilton in Bristol. Hosted by the Holistic Community Professionals, this free event runs from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m., featuring 75 exhibitors and a full schedule of expert speakers.

At 1 p.m., Dr. Madhava Setty—physician, engineer and author—takes the stage for his thought-provoking keynote: “When Experts Disagree: How is the Truth Revealed? A Doctor’s Perspective.”

A board-certified anesthesiologist with 18 years of clinical experience, Setty has spent decades questioning conventional assumptions about consciousness and human awareness. His experiences observing patients under anesthesia led him to explore profound questions: What does it truly mean to be awake? Does awareness depend on the body, or does it exist independently? His insights challenge long-held beliefs, encouraging audiences to rethink the very nature of perception and truth.

Setty earned his medical degree from Baylor College of Medicine (‘98) and completed his anesthesiology training at The University of Pennsylvania (‘02). A Diplomate of the American Board of Anesthesiology, he has been in clinical practice since 2002. During the COVID-19 pandemic, he served as Senior Science Editor for The Defender, the online publication of Children’s Health Defense, and currently advises the International Center for 9/11 Justice.
