Flanders Holiday Wreath-Making Workshops

Flanders Nature Center & Land Trust invites the community to kick off the holiday season with its annual wreath-making workshops. Participants will craft and decorate their own unique holiday wreaths using a variety of provided greens, pinecones, ornaments and natural dried flowers.

Workshops begin with a guided hike to gather evergreens, followed by hands-on instruction from Flanders educators. Each participant receives a 12-inch metal frame and all essential materials, with the option to bring hand pruners, garden gloves, and additional decorative items.

Workshops are held at the Sugar House in Woodbury, on the following dates: December 3, 5 and 7 at 9 a.m., December 8 at 3 p.m., December 14 at 9 a.m. and 3 p.m., December 15 at 9 a.m. and noon, and December 21 at 9 a.m., noon and 3 p.m.

Flanders Nature Center & Land Trust is a nonprofit organization that focuses on environmental education and the acquisition, conservation and stewardship of open space. Through its land trust initiatives, Flanders actively works to protect important natural sites and the area’s landscape character and quality of life. Flanders manages over 2,400 acres of preserved land in Woodbury and neighboring towns.

Cost: $31 per wreath for members and $41 for non-members. Location: the Sugar House, 48 Church Hill Rd., Woodbury. Advanced registration is required due to limited space.
