Qarib Ahmed, MS, OTR/L is an Occupational Therapist with a holistic focus and over 15 years of experience. With Holistic Healing Manual Therapy, he provides mobile in-home therapy and treats people with a wide variety of conditions. Utilizing many hands-on techniques during sessions, myofascial release is his main focus. 

Myofascial release treats pain in more than the physical domain; it also focuses on the mental and emotional aspects. In addition to pain reduction, myofascial release can increase range of motion, strength and positively impact mental health, resulting in an improvement in overall quality of life. Ahmed is certified in treating many neurological conditions like Parkinson’s, stroke, TBI and MS, as well as many orthopedic conditions.

“I consider the body as a complete unit and only care to provide quality, safe and evidence-based treatment. I treat in a gentle manner without making my patients feel rushed during the treatment sessions,” he says.

Ahmed has experience in in-patient acute and subacute, outpatient, home care and long-term care. In addition to treating, Ahmed is an adjunct professor at Sacred Heart University’s Occupational Therapy department. “I love the opportunity to help shape the future of Occupational Therapy,” he says.
