As a licensed naturopathic physician, acupuncture specialist, former pharmacist and community educator, I offer all-natural solutions to restore optimal health and help people of all ages reclaim a life of energy, balance and joy. By listening closely to your story and utilizing detailed testing, I work to identify and address the root cause of health concerns. In other words, I serve as a “health detective” who will thoroughly “investigate” to find the culprit of any symptoms.

What drew you to this profession?
While formerly working as a pharmacist, I observed the limitations of conventional medicine in its ability to offer long-term, healing solutions. Oftentimes, patients could only take a medication for so long before another health condition, complication or side effect developed. I knew there had to be a better way for me to provide “health” care to my community and I realized that many people weren’t satisfied with the idea of relying on drugs for the rest of their lives.

How does your work differ from others in your profession?

Since I have experience in a variety of healthcare settings, I practice as an integrative physician. I focus on utilizing natural therapies, yet also recommend appropriate conventional approaches if needed. People often come to me after they’ve visited many other doctors for their health concerns yet still have trouble finding answers and effective treatments.

What should someone expect from working with you?
Individuals I work with can expect to become a healer of their own body and mind, be empowered to take charge of their health, and feel well again. I serve as a guide, teacher and supporter and dedicate 60 to 90 minutes per appointment in order to best provide the care that people need.

What changes do you have planned for 2022?
The word “doctor” comes from the Latin word docere, which means “to teach”. Fully embracing the role of “Doctor as Teacher”, I’ll be expanding offerings of my free wellness classes both online and in-person. This is a way for me to provide our local and distant communities with tools for healthy living.
