Strength Classes and More Offered at Your Body
Your Body is a New Canaan training facility started by Dr. Peter Philip, of Philip Physical Therapy. Your Body offers group, personal and virtual fitness training services. Their unique type of fitness training is focused on purity of form, mechanics of motion and enhanced body weight fitness.
Their “Weightless” Strength Class was created by Health Coach and trainer Steve Putnam. This class utilizes resistance bands to build strength in a way that gets clients strong quickly and protects the body from wear and tear and the dangers posed by traditional weightlifting. Participants are taught a system of eight exercises that will target the whole body and give anyone the best workout of their life. Each exercise is about 60 to 90 seconds, and they work within the body’s optimized ranges of motion, which means that it will work where an individual’s body likes to move based on the structure of their unique musculoskeletal system.
This system can be learned and used at one’s convenience at home and can be broken down into 10 minutes a day. Those interested are encourage to try this class and learn what it takes to work smarter, not harder. First class is $10 with coupon code FIRST10.
