Getting ready for back to school jeans shopping? Slip on a new pair of Madewell jeans with a $20 coupon while helping keep denim clothing from entering the landfills. Madewell clothing stores have partnered with the Blue Jeans Go Green Denim Recycling program to turn denim clothing into insulation in homes for communities in need.

Head to Madewell’s two Connecticut locations in Farmington at Westfarms Mall and Westport. Both stores participate in the recycling program and will give a $20 coupon to be used in store or online toward new, full-length, regular-priced denim jeans when recycling a pair of full-length denim jeans. Any jeans brand is acceptable, like Levi’s, Wrangler, Gap, Guess and more.

Madewell will also recycle jean shorts, jean jackets or jean skirts without the $20 coupon offer. The recycling program is going on indefinitely. Families shopping together can turn the denim recycling into an eco-friendly lesson about questioning what happens to clothing when we no longer want them and how to be socially responsible.
