Grammy-Recognized Singers at Mederi Center Benefit
Fairfield County native and renowned healthy medicine pioneer Donnie Yance is bringing together his friends in the music industry for an evening to inspire wellness. The “Together We Heal: Spirit, Mind, Body, Transforming Healthcare, Changing Lives” benefit takes place from 6 to 10pm on November 22 at The Warehouse at Fairfield Theater Company.
Legendary pop star and crossover artist Gino Vannelli (“I Just Wanna Stop,” “Living Inside Myself”) and jazz vocalist Roberta Gambarini (Grammy Award for Best Jazz Vocal Album), along with comedian Jeffrey Gurian (Friars Club, Comedy Central) as emcee, will headline an evening of food, music and healing. Ticket prices range from $100 to $500.
Yance is known among Fairfield County locals from his early days as the owner and founder of the Food for Thought health food store in Westport as well as Wellsprings Center for Natural Healing. In 2003, Yance founded the Mederi Center as an internationally acclaimed, non-profit, integrative healthcare organization with a mission to improve the quality of life and outcomes for those with chronic disease, particularly cancer.
The Mederi Center provides leading-edge, comprehensive, holistic healthcare to clients around the world, as well as professional education for physicians and other healers and providers in its Unitive Healing Model. All proceeds will benefit the center's clinic, education and research programs, including the formation of a two-year, online Mederi Medicine Academy for healthcare practitioners, and clinical trials combining integrative and conventional therapies in the management of cancer.
