Family Facetime Dinners in Ridgefield
Ridgefield is celebrating families with the return of Family Facetime dinners. The goal of the Family Facetime project is to make it easier for families to connect by encouraging (and scheduling) technology-free family time. Upcoming dinners will be October 23 at Parma Market and November 20 at Genoa Deli.
Families register online for a Wednesday night dinner at a participating restaurant, for the price of $30 for a family of four. Dinners are picked up on the designated night and participating families are asked to spend an evening at home enjoying each other’s company rather than playing with their devices. Details will be emailed to families once they have registered. Participating families will also receive a basket to collect and stow phones and tablets for the duration of the meal.
Research consistently shows what parents have known for a long time: sharing a fun family meal is good for all family members. There are many ways for families to stay connected, but regular family dinners can help you build that time into the family routine.
