Holistic Health Center Comes to Bridgeport’s Historic Section
Diahann Phillips
New holistic health center Total U Health and Wellness Center has opened in the historic section of Bridgeport with a family photo festival.
Diahann Phillips, the owner, is a certified aesthetician, acupressurist, aromatherapist and reflexologist since 1993. She has been a photographer, videographer and make-up artist since 1981, as well as an event planner. “Recently, I’ve earned my Behavioral Scientist Certificate and I’m going for my Human Services Degree,” she says. “Body, mind and spirit is who I am and what I do.”
The new center features BEMER (bio-electric magnetic energy regulation) magnetic mat therapy, which Phillips is excited to offer the community. BEMER has been used for 20 years overseas and for the past 10 years in the U.S. Currently used in 4,000 hospitals around the world as well as by NASA, the technology has five patents and is developing additional uses.
“I personally have been to two of their 2-day Gold Seal Academies, and I get continual training as it becomes available,
because the field of electroceuticals is growing by leaps and bounds,” Phillips says.
In addition to the BEMER, Total U Health & Wellness Center will offer aesthetician services, facials, waxing and aromatherapy body care, paraffin wraps, salt scrubs, nutrition consultations, acupressure, aromatherapy, reflexology, and a hydrotherapy whirlpool. Other services include Reiki, and eyelash and braid services. Gift certificates are also available.
