The Salt Cave of Darien has celebrated its first anniversary by completing the installation of a new  individual salt room. Built with the same aesthetic as the main cave, this room will be dedicated to massages, private salt cave sessions and additional services. 

The Himalayan salt cave alleviates stress and promotes relief from respiratory and skin conditions through the use of halotherapy. This alternative therapy is the inhalation of medical-grade salt that has healthy negative ions, 84 minerals and nutrients, and is anti-inflammatory. Many activities are offered inside the salt cave, including yoga, stretching, coffee chatters, meditation and groups that can rent the cave for private happy hours up to 12 people. Special events are held each month. 

There are also a wide variety of salt-related products, such as lamps, cosmetics and jewelry, offered for sale. Visitors will find a line of cosmetic products made with brine created from the health resort inside the Wieliczka Salt Mine in Krakow, Poland. Jewelry featuring the sand of local beaches is also available.
