Osteopath Joins Whole-Body Medicine
David Johnston
Dr. David Johnston, a board-certified osteopathic physician who has also studied functional and nutritional medicine, has joined Whole-Body Medicine in Fairfield. He also has a private practice in Ridgefield and will split his time between the two locations.
A graduate of the New York College of Osteopathic Medicine, Johnston was a recipient of an undergraduate teaching fellowship in osteopathic principals and practice. He completed a medical internship at the Good Samaritan Hospital and studied at the osteopathic residency program at St. Barnabas hospital. Johnston has had additional training in hands-on osteopathic manipulative treatment for infants, children, adults and seniors. He studied extensively on biodynamic approaches to osteopathy with James Jealous, DO. Most recently Johnston attended post-graduate education in the relationship of temporomandibular joint dysfunction as it relates to spinal problems; this knowledge will be valuable in co-treatment with Dr. Mark Breiner’s dental patients.
“Dr. Johnston’s unique background in functional medicine, neuromusculoskeletal medicine and osteopathic manipulative medicine offers our patients a synergistic healing modality to complement our other practitioners,” says Adam Breiner, naturopathic physician and director of Whole-Body Medicine.
