Positive Behavior Change at Sabita Holistic Center
Susie Basler and Adam Moore
In November, Southport’s Sabita Holistic Center will host several workshops focused on positive behavior change. A hypno-meditation seminar with Adam Moore will explore psychological blind spots and bring awareness to the question, “Are you getting in the way of your own success?” Moore is an NLP practitioner and hypnotist with 20 years of experience. This introductory seminar will be held on November 2 from 7 to 7:45pm, at a special rate of $30. Relax into a 45-minute session, which includes 30 minutes of a half-conscious state and 15 minutes of Q&A. The journaling process is included. Space is limited. Reserve by November 1.
Susie Basler, MS, LMSW, will host two positive parenting workshops on November 8, 15 and 22. In Terrible Times with Teens, the group will focus on the power you do have. Held from noon to 1pm, the group will identify strategies for common problem areas. Basler will share ideas that worked for her and the staff at Project Return, a nonprofit group home for teenage girls. In Self Care for New Moms from 10 to 11am, join others in honest conversation about the challenges and adjustments to parenthood. You will discuss coping strategies, mood management, work-life balance, self-care and share stories with those who have had similar struggles. Each session is $25.
Basler has extensive training in dialectical behavioral therapy, Gestalt and the treatment of trauma. For 30 years, she was executive director of Project Return in Westport.
