Immerse Yourself in Yoga Teacher Training
Learn to lead a sequence and understand yoga philosophy while discovering what connects you to the practice on your mat and off in this Power Vinyasa Yoga Certification Program in Ridgefield. The 2017-2018 course, which runs November 11 through June 2, is created for those interested in becoming a
certified yoga teacher, teachers interested in continuing their education with advanced training, or students hoping to deepen their practice. A minimum of
12 months of yoga practice experience is recommended. However, trainees are not required to perform advanced asanas.
With 20 years teaching experience and eight years training teachers, Lyn Kehoe is recognized as a leader in the area for her teacher training program. This is an immersion-style program given by a Yoga Alliance-registered school (previously registered under Buddhi Power Yoga Teacher Training). While the self-study segment of the program begins on November 11, late registrations will be accepted until January 15. The early bird discount offer ends on November 1.
A review of the curriculum, manuals and self-study assignments will be covered at a curriculum meeting on November 11 from 1 to 2pm. The self-study portion includes an online anatomy course, reading and writing assignments, and more to begin to lay the foundation for the rest of the training. The in-person trainings will run every other Saturday from 8:30am to 5pm, starting January 27, 2018. A typical daily schedule will include a 90-minute practice, philosophy discussion, teaching techniques/methodology lecture and discussion, review of the previous weeks’ asana clinic, asana clinic, and practice teaching.
Apply and pay in full by November 1 and receive a $250 discount. The Certification Level is $3500, the Teacher Immersion Level is $2500 and the Student Immersion Level is $1500 (Connecticut sales tax is added to the fee for all levels). A $300 deposit is due with your application.
