Natural Awakenings Fairfield & Southern Litchfield Counties

Screening of Beyond Measure at Workspace Education

On November 16 from 6 to 9pm, Workspace Education in Bethel will hold a free screening of Beyond Measure, What Counts Can’t be Counted. It tells the uplifting story of public schools across the country as they embark on a journey to transcend the limits of our test-driven education system.

Every day we hear stories about the troubles in American education: our test scores are stagnant, we’re falling behind our international peers, and our schools are failing to prepare future generations to succeed in the 21st century. In the film, public schools work to create a more equitable, empowering, student-centered education culture from the ground up. In chorus with experts such as Sir Ken Robinson, Linda Darling-Hammond, Yong Zhao, Alison Gopnik, Jo Boaler and Daniel Pink, the change-makers in Beyond Measure prove that a new vision and a higher purpose are within reach.

This free event is being hosted by Bethel’s Workspace Education. Workspace is a community of parents, K12 students, educators and professionals looking to break new ground in alternative education.
