Dance Experiences for All Ages in Norwalk
Artistry in Motion by Phillip Morris has opened in Norwalk with additional classes to be held in Fairfield this fall.
Owner and director Phillip Morris, an artist, choreographer and coach, has taught in the Fairfield County area for three years. He began his dance training in a competitive studio while studying classical voice privately. After high school he was accepted into A.M.D.A. in New York City, where he studied musical theater and acting. Morris continued his studies at the Ailey/BFA program. Currently he’s training in extreme stretch handstand and contortions at Aerial Arts and Circus Warehouse.
Morris has performed and taught internationally with Gloria Estefan, Jean Ann Ryan Productions, MMVAs, Harry Jerome Awards, Caribana Toronto, Stiletto Entertainment, Donald Byrd, Rosie O’ Donnell and Disney. He was also honored to be one of the first instructors to implement dance into the academic school setting in Ontario, Canada. Morris continues to teach recreational and competitive dance across the U.S. and Canada. He also holds certifications in AFAA, 30/60/90 and Floor Tech.
Dancers from age six to 75 can choose to perform, compete or just take classes to explore self-awareness and grace. Competition teams offer a positive growth perspective to dance, working on life skills, discipline and team cooperation. Artistry in Motion offers classes in contemporary, jazz, Broadway, and ballet for children, teens and adults.
