For the past few months, Dr. Somesh N. Kaushik’s Ayurveda and Naturopathic Clinic has occupied a small space in a rustic building in Yellow Monkey Village, Cross River. This month the clinic is expanding and moving into a larger building across the center lawn, and Kaushik will host a grand opening celebration from 11am to 3pm, September 10.

The new center will house an Ayurvedic and naturopathic clinic and shop, Ayur Bazaar, where medical consultations and treatments, as well as Ayurvedic supplements, herbs, teas, oils and other articles, will be available. The center will offer Ayurvedic detoxification therapies such as panchakarma, rejuvenation and anti-aging therapies.

The September 10 open house will include a tour of the clinic and shop, a demonstration of Ayurvedic diagnosis techniques and a buffet sampling of Ayurvedic healing foods. The event will culminate with raffles for a 20 percent discount on a first treatment and a gift basket of Ayurvedic teas and oils. Kaushik, who also has offices in New York City and White Plains, New York, will be on hand to meet visitors and discuss the Ayurvedic approach to health and healing.

One of the most experienced Ayurvedic physicians in North America, Kaushik is a recipient of the Dhanwantri Award, his profession’s highest honor. He travels extensively giving lectures on Ayurveda.
