Lyme Epidemic: Shining a Light on the Path Forward is the theme for the 10th Annual Lyme Connection patient conference and health fair scheduled for May 19 at Western Connecticut State University (WCSU). Free and open to the public, the educational event will be held in the Westside Student Center Ballroom. The evening’s keynote speaker will be Dr. Kenneth B. Liegner, a Lyme disease expert and the author of the recently published book, In the Crucible of Chronic Lyme Disease. Pediatrician and Lyme disease specialist Dr. Charles Ray Jones will receive the group’s first Courage in Patient Care Award. No registration is required for this event.

The evening begins at 5pm with a Lyme-focused health fair featuring tick control products and services, Lyme-literate practitioners, testing laboratories, and a wide range of manufacturers representing the latest developments in prevention and patient support services. Speaker presentations begin at 7pm and will conclude at 9:30pm following a question and answer session.
