A new beauty retreat, THE LOFT Salon & Spa, has opened on Long Ridge Road in Stamford. It intends to become a “sanctuary for style and soul” by actively supporting local and international charities, as well as holding progressive events for patrons and the community.

Upcoming events at the new salon include Literature at the Loft: Beauty from Within on April 30 from 6 to 8pm. The book club will host Janet Ettele, author of the How Life Works book series. She will demonstrate how the Six Perfections taught by 8th century Buddhist monk Master Shantideva are as relevant today as they were then. On May 14, THE LOFT will feature South American artworks for sale to benefit cataract surgical and medical missions to the remote villages of the Sacred Valley of Peru and other regions in need.
