Danbury Meditation Group Forming
Urgyan Zangpo
Western Connecticut State University’s (WCSU) Institute for Holistic Health Studies (IHHS) is hosting a spring semester meditation series starting on January 14 from 7 to 8:30pm. The Danbury Area Vajrayana Buddhist Meditation group will meet on Wednesdays on WCSU’s Midtown Campus in Warner Hall in room 103. Open to the university and greater Danbury communities, the cost per session is $15 for the general public and by donation for students.
Meditation fundamentally means “to remedy and heal”; it is a vital component of any holistic health methodology designed to support an individual’s multifaceted capacity to transition across growth levels—including spiritually, mentally, physically and socially. This series will comprehensively explore how meditation is an active and creative reaching toward wholeness. Each session will include instruction, discussion and meditation facilitated by Urgyan Zangpo, a Western Buddhist lama in the Vajrayana tradition.
