Stratford’s Nutmeg Spay/Neuter Clinic is ringing in the holidays and new year with a series of fundraising activities and events during the month of December.

The clinic will be conducting its annual Tree of Lights event in mid-December. For just $5 per light, attendees can commemorate the life of a deceased or living pet on their tree. The tree will be lit and adorned through the month of December until the beginning of January.

An ongoing fundraising event is the sale of private-labeled wines to support the clinic and its FeralCare operation. This year will feature holiday wines in six different flavors via mail order only. The wine is delivered directly to your door, making it an ideal gift idea. Each bottle is $19.99 and a portion of every sale will benefit the Nutmeg Clinic and FeralCare. Each wine features a cat from the clinic’s foster program - Keifer, Amelia, Neisha, Cali, Ingrid or Lindsey.

Another ongoing benefit program is the purchase of memorial tiles for the clinic wall. The tiles range in size and color from $50 to $500. Tiles may be customized to say anything in honor of a furry or human loved one.

If you have a vehicle (car, truck, motorcycle or boat) that is no longer in use, it can be donated to Nutmeg through DonationLine.com. Vehicles can be in running or not running condition. This is an ongoing fundraiser throughout the year.
