Monroe’s Salon Aponte, a leader in the area’s movement to organic and “cleaner” beauty and styling products, has added a new line of body care products also made in Monroe. The Kosmatology line includes body wash, lotion bars, foot balm, hand soap, winter salve for weather-roughened hands and a body stick.

Nancy Aponte, owner of Salon Aponte, is excited to add this new locally produced line to the many other offerings the salon already carries. “It’s fun to find new companies doing good things and bring those things to the store for our clients to enjoy,” she says.

Earlier this year, Salon Aponte began to offer the Dr. Hauschka makeup line, and Aponte says it has been a big hit. Since getting the line in the spring, the salon holds makeup nights once a month for women to gather and experiment with new items.
