American Cancer Society to Host Women’s Wellness Breakfast
The American Cancer Society will host the inaugural Women Leading the Way to Wellness Breakfast on November 12 from 7:30 am to 9:30 am at The Dolce Norwalk Hotel & Conference Center. Residents, local business and community leaders and health professionals interested in learning more about cancer prevention and early detection are invited to attend this event.
Guests will have the opportunity to hear from Jane Green, author and cancer survivor, and the American Cancer Society’s Director of Nutrition and Physical Activity Colleen Doyle, MS, RD, on the importance of staying well. The society will also be honoring three local women who have been instrumental in the fight against cancer. Honorees include Lieutenant Governor Nancy Wyman; Purdue Pharma L.P.’s Executive Director of Patient and Professional Relations Pamela Bennett, RN, BSN, CCE; and Director of Cancer Services Elizabeth Manfredo, MS, RD, from Stamford Hospital’s Carl & Dorothy Bennett Cancer Center. Empowerment Coach Nina Antolino will emcee the event.
The program will focus on women putting their health first in order to stay well to care for their extended families and households. Tickets can be purchased for $75 per person.
