Ellen Lewis, naturopathic physician and director of Shalva Clinic in Westport, is now offering cold laser therapy for pain management.   

Cold laser therapy is an FDA-approved treatment that uses low or cold light to increase cellular energy in the body. It is a painless, non-invasive therapy used to address pain and inflammation. During the therapy, the body absorbs cold light that increases blood flow, improves circulation and enhances lymphatic flow, which stimulates cellular repair and healing in bone and soft tissue. Common conditions that benefit from cold laser therapy include chronic low back pain, arthritis, carpal tunnel syndrome, hip pain, headaches and migraines, peripheral neuropathy and plantar fasciitis.
