Bite Back For a Cure on April 7

All are welcome to support the fight against Lyme and other tick-borne diseases for the Fifth Annual Walk/Run to Bite Back For a Cure on behalf of the Tick-Borne Disease Alliance. The event will raise funds for research and awareness on Sunday April 7, rain or shine at Sherwood Island State Park in Westport. Registration and check in will begin at 9:30 a.m. The event will include a 5K and 10K run, as well as a one and a half mile and a three mile walk within the park. Opening remarks will be at 10:30. Runners will start at 11:00 followed by the walkers at 11:15.

         Awards ceremony for the runners and the highest fundraisers will be at 12:30 p.m. Information stations, music, food and more will be on site. Early registration fees are $25 per person and $70 per family. Free t-shirts will be awarded with early registration by March 15. Onsite registration fees are $35 per person and $80 per family. Children under 10 are free.
