Celebrating Twenty Years of Honoring Birds of Prey

On Sunday, June 3, Green Chimneys in Brewster, New York celebrates the twentieth anniversary of Birds of Prey Day. The event honors children, the environment and magnificent birds of prey from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. and features more than 100 birds on display with falconers from across New York and Connecticut. Top wildlife and environmental experts will join special celebrity guests to honor 20 years of Green Chimneys’ wildlife conservation and birds of distinction.

                  Birds of Prey Day offers families a chance to and get “up close and personal” with majestic eagles, hawks, owls and falcons. Highlights of the day will include free-flying raptors, live animal demonstrations and the ceremonial release of a rehabilitated bird. Visitors can also tour the Green Chimneys Farm & Wildlife Center and enjoy family activities for all ages.

Admission to the day is $15 for adults and $5 for seniors and children under 12. Family passes are available for $35 and children 2 and under enter for free.
