Norwalk’s Thinking Green
Think Green is coming to Norwalk. Thanks to the Leadership Institute program of the Greater Norwalk Chamber of Commerce, the Friday, February 27 event at the College will feature exhibitors highlighting conservation and environmental
measures. This year, all 17 Leadership Institute participants worked on a single project, Think Green. “We wanted them to focus on an activity that would be beneficial to businesses and the people of the city,” said Tony Izzo, site director at Northrop Grumman Norden Systems and Institute chair. The exhibitors will be charged a small fee, which will be donated to a local school. A partial list of exhibitors includes South Norwalk Electric and Water Co., Green Demolitions, Aitoro, iPark, and General Electric. Brian Griffin, vice president of the Greater Norwalk Chamber of Commerce, reports that Think Green is something the Chamber is thinking of doing on a regular basis.
Think Green will be open to the public from 3 to 7 p.m. on Friday, February 27, free of charge. Norwalk Community College is located at 188 Richards Avenue in Norwalk. For further information please email the Norwalk Leadership Institute at [email protected].
