Black Rock’s Manual Therapy, the Healing Touch
Black Rock Physical Therapy, offering one-on-one advanced manual therapy, is pleased to announce its affiliation with Doris Pasteleur-Hall, a renowned movement educator. Doris has studied and/or taught Yoga, Pilates and Body-Mind Centering for over three decades, and is a certified Laban Movement Analyst. Her unique understanding of how a body should move and her ability to successfully achieve that movement with her clients makes her an ideal complement to Black Rock’s manual approach. After a therapist gently restores mobility and flexibility to an area, Doris can help clients regain strength, stability and, ultimately, better health.
This spring, in a joint venture with Black Rock Pilates, BRPT is presenting “Strengthen Your Swing 2009.” Golfers start the season with a comprehensive physical therapy evaluation, followed by three private and three golf-specific group equipment Pilates classes. The program ends about six weeks later with a physical therapy review and a customized home program to continue progress through the golf season.
Another area of treatment is for wheat or gluten allergies, which can be present with many different symptoms, including migraines, joint pain, fatigue, intestinal issues and right hip pain, and manual therapy can help. Black Rock also offers the public an opportunity to become gleefully gluten-free. Find out more at their spring seminar, given with Sue Cadwell of Health in a Hurry.
