Om Gaia, Hymn to the Earth Goddess, Is a Global Hit
Terri Mason
“The response to it has been beyond my imagining,” says sacred music artist and meditation teacher Terri Liles Mason of Westport about her debut CD, produced by Grammy winner Paul Avgerinos. Om Gaia: Songs of the Past, Present and Future of the Earth soared to #4 on the New Age World Radio Charts, holding that position for an impressive eight weeks last summer. Om Gaia is now playing on over 130 radio stations around the world, to audiences in the U.S. Italy, Spain, Holland, Australia, The U.K., Belarus, Romania, Maui, and Canada, with new stations signing on every day. "Om Gaia’s ten tracks are all vocals with rhythmic, trance-like instrumental accompaniment that has a mildly exotic flavor. Mason’s voice is hypnotic and earthy as she honors the magic of the sacred feminine,” says one leading music reviewer. Mason is now starting a tour of the Northeast and will be appearing at Ridgefield’s Move2Wellness on Sunday, December 6 with a concert called “Music and Meditation for the Earth and Her Children.” Mason is a member of the Vywamus Foundation, an esoteric school devoted to evolving consciousness, where she trains in meditation, breathwork, Reflection Process Therapy and other techniques. Her music is an expansion of this work.
The concert will be held from 7to 9 p.m. on Sunday, December 6. Tickets are $30. Move2Wellness, whose studio and healing arts center is located in the newly restored Stonehouse Commons, is at 35 Danbury Road, Ridgefield. Call 203.403.2522. Visit Move2Wellness.com and OmGaiaMusic.com.
