Free Healings, Consults for Vets, Military and Families
In appreciation of the troops and their families, Danbury’s No Place Like Om Yoga Studio is offering a day of free massage, Reiki treatments and naturopathic consultations on Sunday, March 14. No Place Like Om is a place of community that supports, educates, and helps to mend the tears and bumps that happen to our bodies, minds, and spirits as we move thru life. Marc Howard, owner, is an active volunteer Yoga instructor for Ann’s Place cancer support center in Danbury. Be Still Reiki, a volunteer Reiki practice owned and operated by Liz Sortino and Tina Marsh of Newtown, will participate in the Day of Appreciation. Sortino is also an active volunteer Reiki Master at Ann’s Place. Peace and pain relief are the main results testified to by Reiki clients, who also report sleeping as they have not in years. Reiki is defined as an ancient method of relaxation and stress relief. There may or may not be hands-on contact with the client, depending upon the client’s comfort level. Healing takes place as the body relaxes and releases tension. James Mullane, ND, another March 14 participant, practices in Danbury. He believes that naturopathic medicine works on the physical, biochemical, and/or emotional levels to heal the body by bringing it back to balance and well-being.
Healings and consultations will take place between noon and 6 p.m. Military ID is required. No Place Like Om is at 45 Pandamaran Rd, Danbury. Call 203. 947.9187 for more information.
